4 years ago we purchased a house in Montgomery Village that had outdated electrical components, no light fixtures (all switches were wired to plugs) and lots of dark corners. We needed someone we could afford and trust to come in and update the entire house, install recessed lighting, repair electrical issues, update existing fixtures, and maybe give us some advice on things we could do ourselves to save money. Gregory Greene has done all of this and more, and they have been wonderful throughout the whole process. They helped us stay in our budget. They were always on time, looked respectable, were easy to talk to, consistently communicated with both my husband and myself, and were fast with work. I can't say enough good things about this company :) My husband and I eventually trusted them with a key so they could come and go as there schedule allowed and never had an issue. I highly recommend their service.
Finding an electrician, a plumber, or a hair stylist can be an extremely frustrating endeavor. And finding one you can really trust is rare. And that's why this review can save you a lot of time, stress, and money. I have zero doubt that Ethan Greene is THE best and most reliable electrician in Maryland. I can assure that my standards are very high, and as an interior designer I have dealt with many contractors and trade pros. Last week I was under great pressure with a renovation and guests arriving later that day. On top of that, I had an electrical issue for which I received outrageous estimates and literally had the cans of recessed lights hanging from my ceiling! Ethan was recommended to me by a salesperson at Home Depot, and although he had an extremely busy schedule and had no idea who I was, Ethan agreed to come out within a couple of hours. Wth great energy and a positive cheerful disposition, Ethan Greene adjusted the retrofit lights I had amateurishly installed, reinstalled a couple of others, gave me sound advice on safety issues I had overlooked, suggested an economical solution to my major recessed light dilemma, and gave me links on how I could find the materials I would need. Through all of this, and with a busy schedule, Ethan was patient, professional, honest, pleasant, and very well spoken. Ethan Greene saved the day, and he did not charge me anything. I will never think of getting a different electric professional. And I hope you take this review very seriously and realize how lucky you are to be reading this!
Ethan Greene has provided excellent service on four different occasions, and for electrical work ranging from the installation of shop lights, outdoor security lights, ceiling fan, and bathroom fans. The bathroom fan required that Ethan crawl into a very hot and dusty attic, and he did just that without hesitation. Ethan is always on time, and if running a few minutes late due to traffic, has always texted me to alert me to his status. (The reviewer who complained that Ethan or his father didn't show up must be confusing his company with someone else. My advice is to ignore the single negative review, as everyone else has had the opposite experience.) Ethan is very easy to work with, very polite and cordial, offers excellent recommendations for brand names of lights that are high quality, and works very fast. He is certainly not looking for extra hours to add to a job, for he gladly showed me how to mount utility shop lights, so that all that would be left was the actual wiring when he arrived on the job. His rates are so reasonable that I consistently tip him $50 for excellent work on top of his regular rate.
